Amber’s Cue
This cue is one that I started simply to fill time and get some practice with technique both in craftsmanship and finish. It features a forearm of Padauk with tiger maple points and matching windows. The ring work on this cue is copper in a unique chevron pattern that I envisioned as a challenge to myself. The joint collar and shaft collar make up the halves of the final chevron to finish off the cue. The points and boxes on the butt sleeve are more challenges to myself in that the veneers make up window frames for both. Amber saw the cue and decided it spoke to her. After some discussion on customization she decided musical notes and puppy prints were going to be her signature on this cue. She sent me some artwork for both including a piece of sheet music that holds some meaning for her.
